Sportsrollcall.com has gathered that Benin Republic have moved out of Best Western Hotel, which they shared with Nigeria ahead of Thursday’s WAFU Cup of Nations semi-finals face-off between the neighbours at Cape Coast Sports Stadium, Cape Coast.
Both teams shared the hotel during the group stage of the tournament holding in Cape Coast, Ghana. The Super Eagles placed second behind Ghana in Group 1 while the Squirrels emerged tops with 6 points in Group ahead of Senegal, Niger and Ivory Coast.
The Beninoise are seeking to avoid a second successive defeat in as many months to Nigeria, who eliminated them from the race to 2018 African Nations Championship final on a 2-1 aggregate score-line over two legs. Nigeria triumphed 2-0 in the second leg after falling to a late goal in the reverse encounter in Cotonou.
The second semi-final tie between Ghana and Niger holds at the same venue earlier on Thursday.
