Super Eagles Goalie Ikechukwu Ezenwa Thrilled By His Speedy Recovery From Injury

Super Eagles keeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa is pleased by his swift recovery for the knee injury that cut short his 2018 African Nations Championship campaign.

The Enyimba International number one in a post on his Facebook page on Tuesday, expressed gratitude to God and the Nigeria Football Federation, buttressing his claims with five videos of him doing light training.

“Thanks to God almighty for a speedily recovering, and also, thanks to NFF for their love and care during this recovering process. To my beloved fans out there God bless you all for ur prayers towards my recovering i love you all.❤❤👊👊👐👐✌✌🙌🙌 EZENWA IS COMING BACK SOON,” stated the former FC IfeanyiUbah safe hands who missed the semi-final and final game at CHAN where Nigeria finished as runners-up following a 4-0 defeat to host nation Morocco.

With Nigeria first choice, Carl Ikeme still battling acute leukemia, Ezenwa’s recovery comes as a huge boast to Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, preparatory to summer’s World Cup final in Russia.

The goalkeeper will likely be in goal during next month’s international friendly games against Poland and Serbia on March 23 and March 27 respectively.

Ezenwa has been the Super Eagles first choice since he replaced Daniel Akpeyi last year.

The Enyimba goalkeeper has made six international appearances for the main Super Eagles team, conceding two goals.

Nigeria will face Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in Group D at the Russia 2018 World Cup.
