Germany coach Joachim Low has revealed Bastian Schweinsteiger will meet Jose Mourinho after Euro 2016 to discuss his Manchester United future.
But Low insists Schweinsteiger is ‘relaxed’ about his future ahead of meeting Mourinho after the tournament.
He said: “I prefer to get my information straight from the horse’s mouth.
“Bastian and I exchanged thoughts about several things in the past few days but we talked about his position and his fitness. We had no room for transfers in those talks.
“At this point, it does not interest me. Bastian will clarify his situation with his new coach after the European Championships. To me, he appears to be very relaxed.”
Schweinsteiger endured an injury-hit campaign in his first season at Old Trafford following his move from Bayern Munich last summer.
He made his latest comeback from injury in Germany’s opening game of the European Championship against Ukraine, coming off the bench to score the second in a 2-0 win.
There has been speculation the 31-year-old will be allowed to leave United after Jose Mourinho’s arrival as manager.
