Head coach of Zambia National team, Wedson Nyirenda has named 20 local players in his team for October 7 Russia 2018 World Cup qualifying tie against Nigeria.
Sportsrollcall.com gathered that Nyirenda is expected to name the foreign players by next week.
The list does include Shonga, who Shonga who was part of the Chipolopolo that stunned Algeria home and away. He is recuperating from a hamstring injury sustained last month and has not featured for the last three weeks for Nkwazi.
Nyirenda has however, handed under 17 striker Lameck Banda his maiden Chipolopolo call-up following his impressive performance at 2017 Cosafa Youth Championship in Mauritius.

Nigeria, who currently top Group B on 10 points needs just a draw against the Chipolopolo at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo to book their place at next summer’s Mundial.
Zambia face an onerous task of beating the Gernot Rohr’s team at the same venue they recently annihilated African champions Cameroon 4-0. The visitors are buoyed by their recent home and away victory over Algeria, who have failed to live to their billing.
