Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Saturday called from his holiday base in Miami, USA, to express grave concerns about the ongoing face-off between the club and Sergio Ramos.
Spanish newspaper AS stated that the World Player of the Year said he would fully support any decision reached by the club and that they should remember the team can never be the same without Ramos.
He stressed that the player who has told Real Madrid president to listen to offers for his signature, is vital to the club and achievement of future titles, due to his nature, position in the club’s hierarchy as assistant skipper and what he brings to the dressing room.
Ramos is desirous of a move to Manchester United, who Saturday returned with an improved 42 million pounds bid after their initial 50 million euros offer was turned down on Thursday.
Before leaving for his holiday in the USA on Thursday, Ramos, who has started taking English lessons, preparatory to life at OId Trafford, told the club management to listen to offers for him. “Listen to deals for me,” said Ramos, who insists his future, must be decided before having to join the team on July 10.
