New Al Ittihad Kalba midfielder, Raheem Lawal has expressed gratitude to fans for their prayers following a successful surgery on his left ankle.
The 28-year-old Nigeria midfielder announced the successful operation in an undisclosed hospital in the United Arab Emirate in a post on Instagram, which simply reads: “Successful Surgery 🙏🙏… Thanks To U All For Your Prayers.”
Lawal, who is largely touted as Mikel Obi’s replacement in the heart of Super Eagles midfield joined Al Ittihad Kalba as a free agent on August 16 after expiration of his contract with Turkish side Osmanlıspor.
He has featured in a match for the club, coming as a 69th minute replacement for Hassan Yousuf in Tuesday’s League Cup against Al Wasl that ended goalless at Zabeel Stadium in Dubai.
