Östersunds FK Striker Alhaji Gero Thanks Fans As He Heads For Nigeria On Holiday

Östersunds FK striker, Alhaji Gero has expressed his gratitude to his fans for supporting him through thick and thin as a professional football player.

The 24-year-old stated this in a post on Instagram on Sunday as he heads for Nigeria, wishing his team-mates enjoy their holidays.

“Hello lovely fans, friend & family. I just want to say thanks to everyone who’s been supporting me from the beginning until now, through my good & bad period. You guys have always been there for me & I just want you all to know how grateful I am for all your support. To my fans, I’m truly grateful for the support throughout. Together we were great, my teammates hope you guys enjoy your holidays. ???#OneLove #9??,” stated Gero, who was a 62nd minute substitute for Hosam Aiesh as his team rounded off the first half of the Swedish season with a 2-0 win over visiting BK Hacken at Jämtkraft Arena on Saturday.

The player who joined the club in 2016 after terminating his contract with Viborg over lack of playing opportunities uploaded a picture of him with his suitcase at the club’s car park.

Östersunds FK will kick-start second half of the campaign with a trip tp Hammarby on Monday 9 July.
