Ogenyi Onazi has declared his readiness for Nigeria’s upcoming international friendly matches with Senegal and Burkina Faso holding at Barnet’s Hive Stadium in London on March 23 and 27 respectively.
The 24-year-old said this after helping his club Trabzonspor to a resounding 2 – 0 victory against Galatasaray in a Turkish Super Lig clash on Saturday.
“Thanks to all the traveling fans also the home fans for keeping us warm during the game, God bless you all. Now is time for Nigeria,” said the 24-year-old that was pulled out for Mustafa Akbaş on 70 minutes as they recorded a famous victorious victory against their illustrious opponents at the over 41,000-capacity Şenol Güneş Stadyumu.
Onazi who now have to battle Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi for a starting shirt in Super Eagles midfield, has so belted 38 games for Nigeria.
He made his senior debut in an African Cup of Nations qualification match against Liberia, scoring his first of goal came in his second international match, a 3–1 friendly win over Venezuela in Florida.
