Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder, John Ogu is looking to come back stronger from his four-match ban.

The Nigeria international was expelled on 25 minutes during Sunday’s Israeli Premier League top of the table clash with Maccabi Tel Aviv, with the Israeli champions down to nine men in their 1-0 loss.

The 28-year-old issued a statement after the body announced his punishment for the gross misconduct.

It read: “As many already know,I was at the hearing and I was suspended for 4 Games for my action in the last game.I know the passion for the game always take over me. I Accept all charges and I have Apologised to the referees association and the Israeli Football Federation.I sure will come back much stronger. But one thing for sure in my life is to settle for Mediocre and people with a loser brain. I knew 2018 will be tough and I knew what I was going to face in this year . Am I going to stop working and settle for less because I have to please the losers? NEVER!! I will be back soon. Fight continues . Once again ,I’m sorry to our fans . You guys have shown me love since my first day in the club to want to hurt anyone . My job is to be on the pitch and fight for my people and the Badge on my chest and not watch from the stands. Season is still long . I promise you we will fight till the end .”

Ogu has been a consistent stand-out performer for Hapoel Beer Sheva in the last three seasons, helping them to two league titles the last two  terms.
