Nigeria’s Abu Azeez Thrilled By 103 Beach Soccer Goals, World Cup Qualification

Nigeria striker, Aby Azeez is happy to take his Beach Soccer tally to 103, as Nigeria pick a ticket to next year’s World Cup finals in Paraguay after 7-6 victory against Egypt on Wednesday at Laguna Vista Stadium, Sharm El Sheikh..

The 24-year-old ranked among the top 50 Best Beach Soccer players in 2017, in a post on Twitter on Thursday, expressed gratitude to Nigerians, his coaches and team-mates after weighing in with four goals against the Pharaohs in the semi-finals.  

He stated: “Thank you Nigerians for the support, double celebration for me, qualifying for the World Cup next year in Paraguay and reaching my 100 Beach Soccer goals, such a great feat, thank you to my coaches and all my team-mates.”

Nigeria who face either Senegal or Morocco in the final thus became the first team to qualify for the World Cup in Paraguay.
