Nigeria Super Falcons Get Friendly Date With France After Over Two Years Of Inactivity

Nigeria Football Federation has arranged a friendly between Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons and their French counterparts on April 4 in Paris.

The reigning African champions have not been involved in a game of any kind since winning Africa Women Cup of Nations, over a 1-0 defeat of host nation Cameroon in the final precisely on December 3, 2016 in Yaoundé.

Most members of the team have on numerous occasions expressed reservations about their inactivity, in comparison with their ever-busy male counterparts, the Super Eagles.

The football body may have lined up a series of such matches in 2018 for the team, as portrayed by its tweet on Thursday.

It read: “Did you know the @NGSuper_Falcons play France in Paris on the 4th of April 2018 in an International friendly? Now you know. Brace up for a super 2018! #SuperFalcons.”
