New Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer Pionetti Enrico had a workout with the team’s goalkeepers as the team resumed training at Sanni Abacha Stadium in Kano on Tuesday morning.
Gernot Rohr was present to resume training ahead of their August 10 Africa Nations Championship Second Round qualifying tie against Benin Republic. The players had been given a three-day break to play for their respective clubs in Nigeria Professional Football League games over the weekend.
Enrico, whose contract with the Nigeria Football Federation remains foggy, worked goalkeepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Dele Ajiboye, Okemute Odah and Theophilus Afelokhai alongside Alloy Agu.
Super Eagles are seeking a ticket to the 2019 finals in Cameroon and will host the Squirrels at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on 10 August and embark on a trip to the neighbouring country for the corresponding tie a week later.
