Portugal’s Manchester United winger Nani has agreed to join Fenerbahce and expected to arrive in Istanbul on Thursday to complete a medical.
The player who last season on loan at Sporting Lisbon will the Turkish giants for £6m.
According to Turkish publication Hurriyet, Nani has already agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce and will sign a four-year deal worth £55,000-per-week.
Manchester United paid £20m for the fleet-footed international in 2007, but are happy to accept £6m to rid themselves of his £110,000-a-week wages.
Nani signed a new five-year deal during David Moyes’ brief at Old Trafford and could have cost the club as much as £17m in wages if he remained in Manchester.
It’s claimed Nani’s agent Federico Pastorello touched down in Istanbul lasts week to discuss terms and was spotted chatting with the club’s sporting director Giuliano Terraneo.
