Royal Excel Mouscron striker, Taiwo Awoniyi is now focused on Sunday’s trip to Zulte-Waregem, as the Nigeria international basks in the euphoria of their 2-1 home win over Club Brugge over the weekend.
“We keep pushing @royalexcelmouscron. Great victory last night. Focus on the next game. #God is the greatest,” stated the 20-year-old Liverpool loanee who has netted once and rendered an assist in four appearances for Mouscron since joining them on 30 July.
Awoniyi, who spent last season on loan at Dutch side NEC made the the starting line-up before being replaced on 60 minutes by Aristote Nkaka as DR Congo striker Jonathan Bolingi’s first-half brace helped them to victory against Brugge at Stade Le Canonnier on Saturday.
Stefano Denswil had scored on 25 minutes to restore parity for the visitors, seven minutes after Bolingi’s opening goal.
