Kogi United and Confluence Queens on Thursday received their monthly food supplies by Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Edward Onoja.
This is in fulfillment of his promise during the novelty match to commemorate the second year celebration of Governor Yahaya Bello led administration in January.
Onoja said the gesture was to further make the players comfortable and physically ready for the challenges ahead.
Receiving the food items on behalf of both clubs, Team Manager of Confluence Queens, Tosin Olorunleke Ojo thanked Onoja for his continuous support and identifying with the teams.
She promised that the teams would make good use of the items to perform creditably well in their various leagues.
Mallam Abdul Sule, chairman of Kogi United and Confluence Queens noted that such gesture would ensure players give their best both in trainings and competitive games.
Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Kogi State, Prince Sanni Ogu Salisu, who lauded the initiative by Honorable Onoja, called on other well meaning Kogites to emulate him in encouraging the youths in any way they deemed fit.
