Sportsrollcall.com understands that players of Nigeria Professional Football League side, Kano Pillars on Tuesday began a three-day mourning for their fallen defender, Chinedu Udoji.
The former Nigeria champions also stated in a tweet that the players have shelved training till Thursday, having not shaken off the sudden demise of the former Enyimba International captain.
Udoji, 28, was died in an accident on Sunday night after visiting his former Enyimba team mates in the wake of another dazzling performance for Kano Pillars in their 1-1 draw against Enyimba at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
Last week, his wife gave birth to their second child, making him a father of two, as he already had a four-year-old son.
His former club and all relevant stakeholders in Nigeria football are still paying tribute to the defender who is known for his total commitment on the pitch.
