Ageless Zlatan Ibrahimovic plans on rewarding the next number 10 at the Swedish Gala.
The 35-year-old Manchester United striker stated this in a post on Instagram Tuesday, in which he highlighted the qualities of players who don the number 10 shirts.
He stated: “I didn’t have much growing up. Just my restless mind and big dreams. But number 10 is willing to go further than anyone else. That’s why we are creating Number 10 – a tribute to all the people walking that extra mile for Swedish football. Together with @VolvoCarSverige and the Swedish Football Association, I will find and reward the next #Number10 at the Swedish Football Gala. numberten.club.”
Ibrahimovic was a hit for the Red Devils last season, netting 17 times ann rendering seven assists in 27 matches prior to his season being truncated on 21 April by Knee Ligament Injury.
He is billed to return to action on 30 October to add steel and fire to Jose Mourinho’s attack after penning a one-year deal. He opted for the number 10 shirt after given Romelu Lukaku permission to take the number nine he wore the last term.
