Östersunds FK striker, Alhaji Gero is happy to have scored the goal against GAIS on Sunday, which took his team to Svenska Cupen semi-finals.
The 24-year-old scored the only goal of the match at Jämtkraft Arena on 86 minutes and expressed his gratitude to God for the feat in a statement on social media shortly afterwards.
“God’s plans are always the best. Sometimes the process is painful and hard. But when God is silent he’s planning the best for you and thanks to almighty Allah for the goal that made us go through to semi-final in Svenska cupen🇸🇪,” stated the Nigeria international who has scored two goals and rendered three assists for his Swedish side this season.
Gero joined the club on a free from Viborg on January 17, 2016.
