FIFAU17WWC: Nigeria Ambush Cameroon In Benin-City Saturday


Nigeria’s U17 Women’s national team, Flamingos will on Saturday host their Camroonian counterparts in FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Second Round, first leg qualifying tie.

The match holds at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin-City, which has not only become a home to all the women’s national teams, but also serves a slaughtering slab for opponents.

The return leg will comes up on February 6 in Cameroon, with the winners booking a spot at the finals in Uruguay later in the year.

Nigeria are guaranteed maximum support by Benin-City fans, who thronged the venue to spur the U20 team to 6-0 thumping of South Africa 6-0, booking a place at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup finals in France 8-0 on aggregate score-line.

South Africa will host Morocco while Djobouti entertain Ghana in the other two fixtures. The three winners over two legs will fly Africa’s flag at the finals.
