Enyimba Debunk Mfon Udoh Quit Rumour, Say Player Is On Suspension

Enyimba FC have refuted claims their captain, Mfon Udoh has quit the club.

The CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finalists issued a statement on their twitter page on Friday, asserting that the Nigeria striker has been suspended for misconduct and indiscipline.

“Our attention has been drawn to news making the rounds that Mfon Udoh has quit our club. There is no truth to this as the player was suspended last week for misconduct and indiscipline. He was suspended along with other players but details were not released to the public,” read the statement, which was accompanied by a letter placing the Akwa Ibom-born player on suspension.

Sportsrollcall.com gathered that the player walked out on the two-time African champions at the expiration of his five-year contract, which the club frowned at.
