Drogba pushes Gervinho to Galatasaray

BY GODWIN AIKIGBE—
Chelsea and Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba is fervently trying to convince his compatriot Gervinho to join his former club Galatasaray from Roma.
The Turks want  Gervinho  on loan for eight million euro but Roma are more disposed to selling the player.
Gervinho is in love with Rome and does not want to leave the city just yet, but  Galatasaray have asked  Drogba to help convince the former Arsenal striker.
It becomes clearer why Ashley Cole refuses to leave Roma: “In Italy I feel free as a bird, go out to dinner, you drink a glass of wine, you can smoke without being crucified and nobody will say anything,” Cole once told Herald Sun.
Drogba is trying to make Gervinho see the bright side of leaving Roma for Turkey as he has been urged to do by Galatasaray.
“Here you will be happy, come without thinking. Gala are a great club to play and you will be warmly received and never criticised,” Drogba said to the player. ”
Gervinho has told Turkish press: “I’ll talk to the club, we’ll see. Rome will speak to us, and then we will talk with Galatasaray, which has so far offered a loan deal of eight million euro.”
Meanwhile, Roma had reached an agreement with the Al Jazira for 13 million euro  for the player and want Roma to match that price.
