CHAN 2018: Nigeria Test Might Agianst Cameroon In Rabat

BY ABAYOMI JOHNSON

Nigeria will at 7pm tonight take on Cameroon in a practice game at  the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, Morocco, preparatory to African Nations Championship starting in that country on January 14.

The game is to put the Salisu Yusuf’s team in competitive mood ahead of their Group C opening match against Rwanda on January 15.

The Super Eagles left the shores of the country on Monday, stopped over in Turkey before arriving in the North African country the following day.

Nigeria will be making their fourth appearance in the tournament that has held five times, after they failed to reach the final of the first two editions in 2009 and 2011. They finished third at the 2014 in South Africa under the late Stephen Keshi.

The Ikechukwu Ezenwa-led team are also pitted against defending champions Libya and Equatorial Guinea in the same group and will play the former in their second game on January 19 before rounding off preliminary assignments against Equatorial Guinea on January 21.
