Bristol City Keepers, Coaches Show Support For Cancer Sufferer Ikeme

It is easier counting who are not supporting Carl Ikeme than those backing the Wolves keeper’s fight against Leukaemia.
Since he was diagnosed with the dreaded disease in July the entire football world has rallied round the Nigeria international who is currently having chemotherapy.
Bristol Post have reported how keepers and coaches of Bristol City showed support for Ikeme as they took on Wolves in a Championship game at Molineux on Wednesday.
Frank Fielding, Luke Steele and Bristol City goalkeeping coach David Coles all wore t-shirts during their warm up with a picture of Ikeme and slogan ‘get well soon Carl’.
Ikeme, 31, returned “abnormal blood tests” during pre-season testing and further checks confirmed the diagnosis.
