Bobsled: Seun Adigun Thrilled By Presidential Reception

Driver of the historic Nigeria’s women’s Bobsled team to 2018 Winter Olympics, Seun Adigun feels honoured to be received by President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja on Wednesday.

“Words cannot express the joy and honor I feel after being received by the Honorable President Muhammadu Buhari of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria. Thank you Honorable Sports Minister Solomon Dalung for additionally having a personal reception for our BSFN athlete representatives,” stated Seun, who was received alongside 2018 CHAN Super Eagles team by Nigeria’s number citizen while receiving the World Cup trophy.

Seun Adigun, partnered by Ngozi Onwumere made history as the first team from Nigeria and Africa to participate at the Winter Games. The team finished 20th in the overall standings out of 20 teams in PyeongChang, South Korea.

They recorded a time of 52.31 seconds in Heat 3 and 52.53 seconds in Heat 4. They finished with an overall time of 3 minutes 29.60 seconds.
