Aiteo Cup: Nigeria Champions Plateau Utd, Akwa United, FC IfeanyiUbah Reach Last 8

Newly crowned Nigeria champions Plateau United and Aiteo Cup defending champions on Wednesday eased into the last eight of the tournament with impressive home wins in the round of 16.
Plateau United edged Nigeria National League side Akwa Starlets 2-1 in Uyo while FC IfeanyiUbah were 3-1 victorious at home to Nigeria Professional Football League returnees Heartland 3-1 in Nnewi.
Akwa United recorded the heftiest win of the round, steamrolling Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan 5-1 in Uyo.
Two games ended in stalemates and will be replayed on Saturday. The tie between FC Abuja and Niger Tornadoes at the Federal Capital Territory ended goalless, with the replay set for Confluence Stadium, Lokoja while Ekiti United and Katsina United Feeders will settle scores at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina after playing out a 1-1 draw in Ekiti on Wednesday.
In the Women’s version, four games are to be replayed on Saturday after winners failed to emerge therein on Wednesday.
FC Robo Queens will host Pelican Stars at Legacy Pitch, Surulere, Lagos,
Bayelsa Queens will play hosts to Sunshine Queens at Nembe Stadium,
Abia Angels will entertain Jokodolu Babes at Umuahia Township Stadium while the tie between Ibom Angels and Osun Babes holds at Uyo Township Stadium.
