New Shooting Stars Sports Club coach, Edith Agoye is pleased with the quality of players recruited preparatory to the 2017-2018 Nigeria Professional League season. The Oluyole Warriors on Friday announced conclusion of the first phase of their screening exercise from which 31 players were selected. The former Nigeria international and player of the club reiterated his resolve to select the best of raw talents across the country, to ensure the team’s immediate return to the Nigeria Professional Football League. He said: “It’s been a very good one. Our target was to look for the best players, raw talents and we’ve discovered many even from top teams”. The team’s General Manager, Rashidi Balogun is also satisfied with with selection process and the quality of players selected.”They are mature,” he stated. Appreciable number of players turned up at the screening exercise conducted at Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba , Ibadan. The club are looking to made immediate return to the elite division following their relegation alongside ABS, Gombe United and Remo Stars to the lower division at the end of last season.
